History:

The Batac Cyber Community, a farmer group-based ICT facility, was established early 2007 as one of the pilot sites of the Open Academy for Philippine Agriculture (OpAPA) project. It was initially managed by PhilRice Batac with the main purpose for farming-related ICT trainings.

In 2008, the facility was opened to non-farming users to generate income to sustain its operation after the project ends. It is now patronized by students and residents of the barangay when it is not being used for farming-related activities.

This cyber community is a partnership among LGU Batac, Quiling,Tengnga-Laud-Libtong Zanjera Association (QTLLZA), and PhilRice Batac.
