History:

The Makato-Maunlad Community eCenter came into being by virtue of a Memorandum of Understanding signed in July 2005 between the local Government of Makato, Aklan and the National Computer Center. This was followed by a Social Preparation Workshop attended by the Makato CeC Core Group from November 30 to December 2 of the same year. Then, in January 2006, Makato CeC had its soft opening.
