History: The fledgling San Fabian Community eCenter has a humble beginning. As of December 31, 2005, it was the first and only CeC in the Province of Pangasinan. It was established pursuant to the constitutional mandate that the State shall give priority to research and development, invention, innovation and utilization; and to science and technology education, training and services.

Timeline:

July 15, 2005 – Initial CeC computer equipment were delivered to the municipality.

October 5-6, 2005 - Focus Group Discussion facilitated by DAP and NCC and participated in by sectoral representatives from the academe (public and private), religious organizations, NGOs, professionals, retirees, business, youth, barangay, agriculture and government

December 12-16, 2005 – Strategic Business Planning facilitated by DAP and NCC and participated in by the CeC Core Group composed of sectoral representatives.

January 18, 2006 – Launching of San Fabian CeC and oath taking of CeC Core Group

January 19, 2006 – Soft Opening of San Fabian CeC

January 25, 2006 – Approval of Sangguniang Bayan Resolution No. 6-S-2006 authorizing the operation of the CeC in San Fabian

With public interest in mind, San Fabian CeC aims to render quality ICT services responsive to the needs of the community through its dedicated and committed staff/personnel.

By 2010, San Fabian CeC is envisioned to become the model in the region by providing a diversified range of quality and innovative ICT services managed by highly competent and committed personnel.
Target Beneficiaries: Municipal employees, relatives of OFWs , students, barangay officials, businessmen, religious sector, missionaries, foreigners, OSY, unemployed, farmers, differently-abled persons, POs, religious organizations, tourists, professionals, general public
