History: The Local Government Unit (LGU) of the City of Lamitan, Basilan thru Hon. Roderick H. Furigay, entered into an agreement with the Commission on Information and Communications / National Computer Center for the establishment of the Community e-Center in Lamitan. The CeC was established in order to carry out the following objectives:

• To bring down ICT initiatives to the unserved and, or underserved communities;
• To provide access to information to far-flung places;
• To support all activities to sustain and maintain the center and,
• To cooperate and jointly commit in promoting the use of ICT for effective and efficient governance

The Community e-Center of Lamitan carries out the following vision and mission statements pursuant to the vision initiated by the Commission on Information and Communications Technology through its e-LGU program.
A. Vision
“Lamitan CeC as an ICT access point transforming barangays into progressive and developed communities”
B. Mission
To attain the vision, Lamitan CeC will:
1. Provide ICT education and training
2. Ensure computer accessibility to communities
3. Promote CeC and attain a number of users/clientele
4. Establish modern technology in assisting the community promptly
Target Beneficiaries: 1. LGU and College Students 2. High School Students 3. Cooperatives 4. NGOs 5. Elementary Students, Vocational Students, People’s Organization, Community Associations

2. Encoding/Typing, Scanning
3. Photocopying & Printing
4. Desktop Services (Invitations, Calling Cards, ID Lamination)
5. Assistance in (E-card Activation & SSS Loans)
6. Computer Trainings
Operating Hours: 8:00 am to 12 noon / 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
