Dinagat Islands' Brgy. Justiniana Edera CeC Serves 79 Trainees this Summer

Brgy. Justiniana Edera CeC maximized its resources in giving their clientele the Basic Computer Literacy training. This summer, the center opened its doors for Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), mothers, elementary and high school students and their neighbouring barangays.

A total of 79 trainees from Brgy. Justiniana Edera and Brgy. Bagumbayan were trained by the center and eTESDA Center, its partner institution. The trainees were divided into 6 groups and were scheduled to meet once a week to accommodate everyone. 

Last March 21, the center received one (1) set of computer unit from Hon. Gwendolyn B. Ecleo, Municipal Mayor of Dinagat. With this, the center can teach more clients on how to use the computer.

eDasol Trains Various Sectors for May 2013

While everyone is getting busy with the upcoming elections, citizens of Dasol, Pangasinan enrolled in the basic computer crash course offered by Dasol's Community eCenter (CeC-eDasol). To date, eDasol had been training enrolees from various sectors.

Elementary and high school teachers, out-of-school youth (OSY), senior citizens, church ministers, health care providers, mothers and even overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are just some of the countless beneficiaries of eDasol's 60-hour training course this summer.

After the May 13 elections, 16 day-care workers are eagerly anticipating the start of their training which covers introduction to Ms Word, Ms Excel and Multimedia as well as web browsing. It is expected that these programs will help them in preparing and submitting their online reports.

What is PhilCeCNet?

 

PhilCeCNet is a multi-sectoral partner of the DOST – Information and Communications Technology Office (ICTO) in the implementation of the Philippine Community eCenter (CeC) Program. It is a learning and collaborative community of CeC stakeholders contributing to the achievement of the Philippine CeC Program’s vision and delivery of its mission of establishing CeCs as public shared access sites in every barangay, thereby ensuring responsive, efficient, valuable and sustainable CeCs.
