The Philippine ePayment Gateway tagged as “eBayad” is an Internet-enabled payment portal that makes electronic payment available to government agencies through the use of different delivery channels to include credit cards, debit instructions and mobile wallets. eSerbisyo is the Philippine Government eServices Portal which provides an integration of all citizen-centric online frontline services of government agencies in the country. e-AGRIKulturae-AGRIKultura stands for “Agricultural Growth thru Information and Knowledge Networking”. It is one of the component projects under the Knowledge Networking Towards Enterprising Agricultural Communities or K-AgriNet program. It aims to improve agricultural productivity and establish practical area-based rural enterprise that would significantly raise farmers’ household incomes. It involves the establishment of Community eCenters in selected rural areas for farmers, fisher folks and agri-business owners. K-AgriNet stands for “Knowledge Networking Towards Enterprising Agricultural Communities” . It is a program aimed at improving access to information and modern indigenous technologies, and linking policy makers, researchers, service providers, markets, business organizations, and farm communities through the use of information and communications technology (ICT). Open Academy for Philippine Agriculture - Pinoy Farmers' Internet The Pinoy Farmers’ Internet is the Philippine’s first internet-based extension support system to help modernize Philippine Agriculture. It is managed by the Open Academy for Philippine Agriculture (OPAPA), a multi-agency partnership involving PhilRice, DA, DOST, IRRI, ICRISAT, USM, PAC, CLSU, ISU, UPOU, PCARRD, ASTI, DA-ITCAF, BPRE, PCC, DA-BAR, PhilScat. It started operations in 2003 and in 2004. It received funding from the Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT) to implement a 3-year project called the K-AgriNet - or Knowledge Networking for Enterprising Agricultural Communities. This umbrella project includes three other ICT based initiatives in agriculture - the e-Farm and e-Consortia projects of PCARRD, and the e-Agrikultura project of the DAR. KM4Dev is a community of international development practitioners who are interested in knowledge management and knowledge sharing issues and approaches, and who seek to share ideas and experiences in this domain. UNESCAP Telecentre Online Database The UNESCAP Telecentre Online Database offers free access to information on telecentre projects in Asia-Pacific region. All information can be accessed either by: 1) open text searches; 2) advanced searches based on specific criteria; or 3) browsing a specific country or a selected telecentre project. The online database also provides statistical data related to telecentre projects in the region, including number of telecentres per country, per geographic area, and per telecentre project. The recommendations contained herein are the result of experiences gained from a number of CGIAR online events run by the Gender & Diversity Program and the ICT-KM Program. These events represent a wide range of purposes and functions: e-consultations that saw diverse communities sharing opinions around proposed goals; training programs; knowledge sharing and distributed board meetings. Guidebook for Managing Telecentre Networks: Engineering a New Phase of the Telecentre Movement This guidebook, a collaborative project of the telecentre.org community, addresses practical issues that telecentre networks face on a daily basis. It discusses the challenges and proposes solutions from the practitioners’ perspectives. As a living document, constantly updated through wiki posts, the guide encourages the telecentre community to engage in building stronger telecentres together and to share experiences and perspectives for many years to come. |
