2nd eSkwela Conference logoThe 2nd eSkwela Conference is slated for March 31 to April 3, 2009 at the Matabungkay Beach Resort in Lian, Batangas.

The four-day conference will bring together individuals and groups instrumental in implementing eSkwela, a flagship project of the Commission on Information and Communications Technology - Human Capital Development Group (CICT-HCDG) which seeks to provide ICT-enhanced educational opportunities for Filipino out-of-school youth and adults.

eSkwela stakeholders include mobile teachers/instructional managers, learners, ALS (Alternative Learning System) Regional eSkwela Coordinators and module guide developers, content developers from partner State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), Local Government Units (LGUs), civic or non-government organizations.

The conference aims to become a venue for dialogue and interaction, to generate concrete ideas and steps for an improved project implementation, as well as to build synergy and strengthen working relationships among eSkwela partners and stakeholders.

Activities during the conference shall include talks and fora on the eSkwela project components; best practices and testimonials from eSkwela implementers, partners, and learners; and action planning workshops for both project management and project implementation levels.

Participation in the conference is by invitation only.
