The Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT), the lead agency for the implementation of the Philippine Community eCenter (CeC) Program, is still accepting applications from municipalities to host a CeC in their locality.

CICT  seeks to establish at least 200 new CeCs per year from 2010 to 2012, prioritizing municipalities without any form of CeC yet in their area. Preference is also given to municipalities where there is existing infrastructure support like electrical power and Internet connectivity. The package will include equipment and relevant training courtesy of the project while the recipient municipality shall put up the other resource requirements such as space, Internet connection and manpower as counterpart contribution.

An updated version of the application form bearing the corresponding contact information for Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao-based municipalities is now available for download.
