The PhilCeCNet Content Development Committee is proud to announce that the official ICT-Enabled Content for Community eCenters Web Portal is now online! This initiative is the culmination of a year-long series of activities that has encouraged local CeCs and communities in conceptualizing, creating and designing their own Web-based content, and was done through the combined efforts of the Philippine Community eCenter Program, the National Computer Center - Field Operations Office of DOST-ICTO, PhilCeCNet, the Molave Development Foundation, Inc, and the host LGUs and CeCs. After a series of regional Focus Group Discussions, the Content Development Team conducted Writeshops with CeCs who volunteered to take part and host them. These writeshops corresponded to the 4 main Content Areas that PhilCeCNet has previously identified as important for communities. The participating CeCs are listed below: 1. Health and Disaster Management - San Fernando eSkwela, Camarines Norte 2. Education, Culture and Sports - Tanauan CeC & eSkwela, Leyte 3. Agriculture & Fisheries - Banaybanay FITS Center, Davao Oriental 4. Livelihood, Tourism & Entrepreneurship - San Remigio CeC, Cebu These CeCs were then appointed as "Centers of Excellence" in Community-based ICT-enabled Content Development, and they were awarded the certifications during the 8th Knowledge Exchange Conference held in Davao last November. Come and see the outputs from these Writeshops, in the form of videos. These were lovingly prepared by a dedicated team of community members coming from various sectors, and many of these are delivered in the vernacular! This site is still in beta testing mode, so we encourage all of you to come play with the interface, see how you like it, and provide us your comments and suggestions. There are also resources that you can use to help you create your own content in your CeC. You can also upload content tha you have already produced and would want to share with the rest of the PhilCeCNet community. Point your browsers to this website: http://content4cecs.org. Happy browsing, and we look forward to more innovative, localized content, more learning and sharing! |
